January 20, 2024Led by Rebecca McIlwain
Saturday, January 20, 2024
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thich Nhat Hanh and Zen Buddhism in general show us a way to be engaged in the world from a place of emptiness, compassion, and peace. The very practice of living from this place is transformational for our lives and the world. Through spiritual exercises, group discussion, and practices of silence, we will touch into the powerful place that Zen calls "the present moment" and experience it for ourselves.
Rebecca McIlwain is the Community Outreach Coordinator at Texas Climate Jobs Project. A longtime community organizer, she spent ten years living as a Buddhist monk.
