As evidence-based guidelines for in-person meetings continue to evolve, some First UU Church groups continue to meet online, in-person (at the church) or a combination of both!

Changing Women

Mindful Meditation

Music, brief recorded talks and guided mindfulness meditations from a variety of teachers.

Houston Women's Group

The Houston Women's Group is a diverse, multi-generational feminist group for all women who believes that each woman defines her own feminism.

Climate Action Team

Garden Team

The Garden Team cares
for our front garden throughout the year by planting, harvesting,
composting, weeding, and working with the children of the church a few times per year to teaching skills & create joy at digging in the dirt.
Parent's Group

Especially for parents with babies, toddlers, and pre-school children to learn ways to have happy, healthy, satisfying family lives through ideas, support, and community.
Minister's Book Group

Rev. Dr. Colin Bossen's book group is currently covering books relating to our "Future Visions, Future Selves" programming.
Wednesday Discussion

Online
All are welcome for fun, facilitated, educational discussions on a variety of topics. Group covenant is followed.
Sanctuary Choir
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
(Every Wednesday)
In-Person
No-audition, volunteer FUUCH choir usually sings during services two Sundays a month.
