Restoring Kinship Worldview
A new book group meeting 6:30 - 7:30 PM on Mondays

First Unitarian Universalist Church's Climate Action Team will be reading a great new book that helps define what we are FOR: Restoring the Kinship Worldview: Indigenous Voices Introduce 28 Precepts for Rebalancing Life on Planet Earth

We agree on what we are against, but largely lack a clear, concise, coherent vision of what we are for. This book helps tons.

We'll start in 2 weeks, August 8, on Mondays. We'll meet 6:30 to 7:30pm.  For the first meeting, please read the introduction. In it is the gist of the book, a list of 40 precepts that all the Indigenous hold. For each aspect of the Indigenous Worldview, it lists the contrasting values held by our culture.

The audio version will be released 7/26

Please register ahead of time, and we'll send you the zoom link in the email reminder for the first session.

Paige P. said, "I love reading these 40 precepts.  It's been my worldview for ages, but I thought I was the only person who saw the world like this."

We've been doing this for ages, with Gandhi, MLK, Ben Franklin, Jesus and more promoted these indigenous values... And now we have the inspiration of the climate crisis to get on with it!
