Immigration Justice at First UU Church
Houston is a major resettlement city for refugees from Afghanistan, who need support with language and cultural integration. Volunteers from First UU, Emerson and Northwoods UU Churches are assisting an Afghan family of eight to settle into Houston. Our current donations needs are for gently-used tablets and laptops, new or gently-used children's clothing of all sizes (to be distributed to multiple families), and prepaid Visa gift cards. To volunteer, or donate supplies, please contact immigration@firstuu.org, or see Linda R. or Thorpe B.
