Dear Beloved Community,

Music and the arts at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston are on a solid footing. We have an active Arts Team of more than 15 members planning events and activities for all. In addition to volunteers and guests sharing their gifts during services, we have enjoyed the  art forums, trips to museums, theater shows and more.

We are excited to host the Spring Arts Festival, a first in what we hope will be an annual event. Many of the volunteer teams are hosting arts activities on Saturday, May 6th from 11 am – 2 pm. Don’t miss the fun! Bring your family to dance around the May Pole, take a flower arranging or ukulele class. Create a kindness card, decorate cookies, make a Derby hat, or have fun with the other activities, games and prizes. Plus, you get to find out more about the church and the people we serve! There will be food, prizes, and lots of camaraderie.

The choir is growing and always looking for more members. Summer months are ahead and we are recruiting volunteers to share their creative gifts with the congregation. If you are interested in playing an instrument, dancing, singing, reciting a poem or sharing another art form during service, please contact Jolie@firstuu.org
