First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston, Room 304 9:00 am: Changing Women – All women are invited to join us for some sacred time on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. We are currently meeting on Zoom on first and third Sundays and
in person in Room 303 on second, fourth and fifth Sundays.

January 20, 2024(3 events) 10:00 am: Yoga – First Unitarian Universalist Church of Houston, Channing Hall 1:00 pm: Engaged Buddhism – Led by Rebecca McIlwain Saturday, January 20, 2024 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thich Nhat Hanh and Zen Buddhism in general show us a way to be engaged in the world from a place of emptiness, compassion, and peace. The very practice of living from this place is transformational for our lives and the world. Through spiritual exercises, group discussion, and practices of silence, we will touch into the powerful place that Zen calls "the present moment" and experience it for ourselves. Rebecca McIlwain is the Community Outreach Coordinator at Texas Climate Jobs Project. A longtime community organizer, she spent ten years living as a Buddhist monk.
