Dear Members and Friends,
First, I want to thank all of you for your continued support during our 2024-25 church year. I am pleased to report that so far this year actual pledge payments have kept pace with budgeted amounts.
Looking ahead to the 2025-26 year, this is the time of year that the church leadership put together the coming year’s budget, which will ultimately be presented to the congregation at a congregational meeting for a final vote of approval.
Concurrently the Annual Stewardship Campaign has also begun, at which time members are asked to make their pledges for the coming year. The projected pledge total is key information needed to create next year’s budget – pledge income makes up approximately 70% of the church’s revenue each year.
We already have a very rough idea of what it is going to cost to run the church next year, and based on that we can tell you that due to inflation and other factors, we are to going need an increase in pledge income of 5 – 10% just to maintain the current level of services and activities provided by the church.
Therefore, we ask everyone in making their upcoming pledge, please consider an increase from the current year pledge of at least 5 – 10%. This will be a big help in creating a balanced budget for 2025-26.
