“Reflections on Diana Matar’s ‘My America’”

My America by Diana Matar, a distinguished artist in comparative literature at Barnard College, is a quiet, chilling critique of the United States: an archive of, and a memorial to, those who have died in lethal police encounters in this country. The My America project will be hosted at 1st UU as a Participating Spaces exhibition at the 2026 FotoFest, and will be available from March 7 through May 10, 2026. Dr. Howard Bossen, co-curator with Rev. Dr. Colin Bossen, will present his perspectives on the exhibition in the March Arts Forum.
