Blessing of the Animals & Pet Memorial Service
On Saturday, May 9th at 2 PM, First UU Church welcomes you to a special Animal Blessing and Pet Memorial Service. Bring your well-behaved pets to receive an individual blessing from Rev. D. Scott Cooper — or bring a favorite photo if your companion prefers to stay home.
For the memorial portion of the service, we invite you to bring a picture or small memento of a beloved pet who has crossed the rainbow bridge. Rev. Cooper will lead us in honoring their memory with love and gratitude.
The afternoon will include:
✨ Individual animal blessings
🌈 A moving pet memorial ceremony
🎶 Music
☕ Drinks and snacks
💛 Community connection
Whether you are celebrating a furry, feathered, or scaled friend who is with you now — or remembering one who lives on in your heart — all are welcome.
