Our Parents Group has been helping parents navigate the struggles of parenting and providing support for families since 1997.  There’s the sharing of particular immediate difficulties, providing ideas, new frameworks as well as helpful discussions and readings.

Parents gets support from each other as well as the experienced guidance from our two facilitators who are parents/grandparents as well as child development experts and educators. Set in a progressive church setting, we are grounded in an open faith that honors family ritual and connection to the spiritual or sacred moments that help create a meaningful life. The group is designed for parents of babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

You are welcome to contact us at: parentsgroupcoordinators@firstuu.org or just show up on a 2nd or 4th Sunday, 12:00-1:00 pm, room 302.

Child care for all ages of babies and children is available in the 1st floor nursery.  Babies are also welcome to be with parents in the group.  The group and childcare are free of charge. You do not need to be a member to attend.

AND for our Parents Group and others in our church community, we provide Parents Night Out every second Saturday, 5:00-8:00 pm.  Children are cared for in our nursery (for free) while parents go out together to a nearby restaurant.
