Thoreau campus will be offering the “Inquirer’s Series: Exploring Unitarian Universalism” workshops once a month.

Each workshop covers a different topic, and is especially designed to acquaint newcomers to Unitarian Universalism, First UU Church, and the meaning of membership. However, even seasoned members will enjoy the engaging activities, getting to know others and deepening their connection to our faith and community.

Workshop Schedule

2020 Workshops:

Jan 19 – Social justice and community projects at Thoreau Campus

Feb 16 – Religious Education at Thoreau Campus

March 22 – The meaning of membership and getting connected at First UU (required workshop if you wish to join and vote at the annual meeting in June)

April 19 – The history of UU and how we practice our faith now

May 24 – Congregational polity and First UU governance

Monthly workshops will continue during the Summer if there is interest.

Newcomers should attend the Membership workshop or have a conversation with a member of the Path to Membership Team before deciding to become a member.
